Group Dental
Plan
A
group dental plan requires at least 2 members. The
plans available vary in price and service
offerings. Unless you are a large company with
substantial negotiating power you usually can't
negotiate the quotes you are given.
A
group dental plan differs from insurance in that it
is a lot cheaper. Your group members get a discount
on all dental services (usually around 50%), there
is no yearly cap on the amount of services allowed
and there is usually no waiting period for members
to be added.
Group
dental insurance provides more coverage with less
out of pocket expense for your group members, but
the monthly fee you will incur can be substantial
depending on which plan you go with.
Regardless of whether you want a group dental plan
or insurance you will need to request a quote. You
can't get one for groups instantly online.
